Welcome Jayne!

Team News

We are delighted to introduce you all to Jayne – our Sales Administrator.

Jayne joined us during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and had a really challenging time for the first few months. Joining a company is hard enough, but add a pandemic and ever changing regulations and it becomes an ordeal! We are now glad to be all back in the office together and Jayne has been able to really get stuck into her role.

Prior to joining House Hub, Jayne worked for Lambert Smith Hampton and therefore offers solid experience, coupled with a calm and diligent manner. Jayne will be responsible for all administration relating to Property Sales, including ensuring all Anti Money Laundering requirements are met.

We are immensely happy to have Jayne on our team and look forward to what the future has in store for us.

House Hub supports Give Back 2U UK.

Social Responsibility

Mohammed and Hayley enjoy going to independent businesses and restaurants in the local area and recently visited Namjii Restaurant in Wolverton.

The food at Namji is exceptionally delicious, but that’s not all. The owner, Naseem Khan, is an incredibly friendly and warm-hearted person.

Naseem is very well known on social media within her local community. She has a reputation for constantly carrying out charity work – supplying ingredients, or cooking food for the homeless and those in need. In addition to owning two restaurants – one in Wolverton, and one in Xscape Milton Keynes – she frequently hosts soup kitchens and community cook-offs. She has also created a community interest company called Give Back 2U.

Give Back 2U UK

Give Back 2U UK was created with socially disadvantaged women from the BAME community in mind. In particular, it aims to provide skills and training to those who did not have access to educational opportunities. Give Back 2U UK state that their overall mission is to ‘Educate, Train, Empower and promote Human Rights for women’. So far, Naseem Khan has personally trained three women who were previously housewives, and now work as sous chefs across Milton Keynes.

Skills and Training

This includes Educational Training, which encompasses a wide range of skills. For example, Maths and English – many jobs require a certain level of numeracy and literacy skills for applications to be considered. Providing women with these skills not only enhances their daily lives but can be an important part of their journey to employment also.

Practical skills such as First Aid are also offered, as well as Food Hygiene certifications. Depending on the industry the women would like to work in, certifications like these can be crucial to job offers. They are also very useful and practical skills for general life.

Another practical skill they offer education opportunities for is Sewing. Naseem was taught to sew by her mother when she was growing up. She believes that it is vitally important to have at least basic stitching skills. Sewing can provide a source of income, and it is also great for saving money, cutting down carbon emissions and redecorating your home on a budget.

Give Back 2U UK don’t just teach women the skills outlined above, they also provide assistance with CV writing and interview skills. Therefore, they are able to support women along each step of the way, from education to employment.

Running throughout all of these skills is the theme of confidence building, so that women feel empowered to achieve goals they did not previously think were possible.

Free School Meals has been a very emotive topic throughout October in Milton Keynes. Naseem quickly set about organising, sourcing and preparing lunches for nearly 300 school children over the school half term.

Donations are always appreciated – whether they come in the form of cooking ingredients, or financial contributions. House Hub was only too happy to help!

Well done Naseem!

House Hub welcomes Sian to the Property Management Department

Team News

We have a new recruit!

Due to the instant success of our Property Management Team, we have been frantically searching for another Superstar to add to the department and we are excited to announce that Sian Green has joined us. Her outgoing and bubbly personality creates a good feeling in the office, and you know it’s going to be a good day when you walk in and see her with a cup of tea and a big smile on her face!

We firmly believe in training our staff thoroughly, to ensure that everything is completed exactly how we (and our clients!) like it so Sian will be learning the ropes with Heidi Coye, our Inspections and Maintenance Guru before being allocated her portfolio.

We are very excited to see how we as a company can grow and develop with Sian on our team, and we wish her every success with her new responsibilities.

Select Properties become a partner to market their fantastic projects to our clients!

New Partnerships

Select Property Group was first established in Manchester, in the year 2004. Since then, they have grown from strength to strength, establishing themselves as an expert in UK developments. Their current projects are proven to grow your returns in the UK’s strongest property sectors. According to their website, property investments are “Lucrative when other property markets are not performing. Resilient during times of wider economic uncertainty”. In other words, property investments in the UK are widely regarded as a reliable and stable option.

For many years, most rental properties in the UK were buy-to-let. Residential buildings intended for homeowners were repurposed for multiple tenants. These homes had several downsides: firstly, the buildings were often very old and susceptible to issues and pitfalls that come with ageing properties. Secondly, many of these properties were located in the suburbs instead of the city centres – a lifestyle that did not suit many prospective tenants. In contrast, Select Property Group specialises in build-to-rent developments. These tend to feature large, airy and modern living spaces and a range of desirable communal facilities (on-site gyms, co-working offices, cinema rooms, and so on). Crucially, many of these properties are situated in the very heart of the city. This makes them highly appealing options for prospective tenants who value living close to their place of work while enjoying the city and its culture to the fullest. Build-to-rent is growing exponentially as a property sector – by 2025, rental demand is set to reach 6 million people.

Select Property Group specialise in two sectors of UK Property: purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and residential property. In 2012, Select Property Group transformed the UK student property sector with their Vita Student brand. To date, they have sold thousands of award-winning student apartments to investors around the world. They then moved into different sections of the UK property market, ranging from residential buildings to luxurious serviced apartments. Their residential brands include Affinity Living (apartments in prime city centre locations) and City Suites (luxury serviced apartments, created especially for business travellers and VIP residents). In Manchester, the original home of Select Property Group, City Suites has already been ranked as the number one option for serviced apartments.

To date, they have worked on projects in the following locations: Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Exeter, York, Southampton, Newcastle, Sheffield, and Liverpool. Select Property Group’s impressive portfolio of projects within these major UK cities clearly shows that they would make an excellent partner for House Hub.

HouseHub and Select Property Group have now entered into an agreement for House Hub to act as an Approved Representative, promoting their opportunities within our client base. This partnership will allow us to secure Select Property Group’s fantastic properties as direct investment opportunities for our clients.
